National Correspondents

PPRD South has been designed as a powerful tool for improving the circulation of Civil Protection information in the Mediterranean region and for strengthening the prevention, preparedness and response capacities at international, national and local levels. Taking into account the importance of the "human component" in such processes, the Programme has been built to emphasize and support the mechanisms of a “community of practice”, meaning a network of professionals sharing common interests, exchanging information and collaborating on practical issues.

Yet, in order to be implemented, this mechanism need a strong participation and the mobilisation of the national Civil Protection stakeholders.

The PPRD South National Correspondent is the cornerstones of the PPRD South building. He/she is an outstanding Civil Protection expert working in the National Civil Protection Authority. He/She represents his/her country in PPRD South and is responsible for the participation of his/her country to the PPRD South activities. Among others, he/she also proactively invites and supports the national stakeholders in directly publishing information relevant to their activities into the Portal.
